The Traditional Owners of this land are those who identify as
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.

Sovereignty was never ceded.

ANTAR pays respect to Elders past, present, and emerging through our dedicated advocacy for First Nations Peoples’ justice and rights.

ANTAR acknowledges the responsibility of committing to a truth-telling process that promotes an honest and respectful path forward for future generations to build upon.

The Uluru Dialogue represents the cultural authority of the Uluru Statement from the Heart; it is based at the Indigenous Law Centre, UNSW and is Co-Chaired by Prof. Megan Davis and Pat Anderson AO.

The Campaign emerged after the Uluru Statement from the Heart was issued at the National Constitutional Convention at Uluru in 2017. It was the outcome of a series of Regional Dialogues where First Nations people across Australia considered options for recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples in the Australian Constitution.

The Uluru Dialogue together with Yes23/From the Heart led the campaign for a constitutionally enshrined First Nations Voice to Parliament culminating in the 2023 Referendum which was devastatingly unsuccessful.

Despite the outcome of the Referendum for a First Nations Voice to Parliament, ANTAR is continuing to work with the Uluru Dialogue to elevate the public conversation and generate support for state and territory-based treaties, truth-telling and representative voice bodies.

Uluru Dialogue continues to invite all Australians to join the movement to walk with First Nations Peoples towards a better future and remains committed to constitutional recognition of First Nations Peoples and the establishment of a Makarrata Commission to oversee agreement-making and truth-telling with the Australian Government.
