Volunteer with ANTaR

In 2020 ANTaR again has a full schedule of activities in support of the rights of First Nations Peoples and we need passionate supporters to lend a helping hand.

ANTaR seeks volunteers to support in our advoacy work on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander issues, and campaigns to encourage Australian's to support justice, rights and respect for Australia's First People.

We provide training and support for new volunteers; so if you are enthusiastic and motivated to support ANTaR, this is great way to hone communication skills, learn more about our rights based advocacy campaigns in solidarity and partnership with First Peoples, and more broadly the work of not-for-profit organisations.

Right now we're looking for:

  • National Treaties Summit and campaign for Treaty 2020: Volunteers to support in all areas in the leadup to the Summit in Melbourne 16-18 April and in the ongoing campaign.
  • Office Volunteers: There are many and diverse administration jobs in the office and we're seeking volunteers for shifts on Monday and Friday to help. We need help shipping orders from the online stall, contacting supporters about our programs and keeping content on our website and social media platforms up to date and of course the usual phones to monitor and errands to run.
  • Hands Up! program volunteers: ANTaR's iconic Sea of Hands travels all around the country to schools, community groups, ect for events such as National Close the Gap Day (March), National Reconciliation Week late May, and NAIDOC week in July, as well as for independent events throughout the year. There is much work in supporting the program in the office and at events.
  • To get started complete the form below, or for more information on volunteering email antar@antar.org.au or call 02 9280 0060 to speak to the team.
