ANTAR supports enshrining the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice in the Constitution in order to ensure that First Nations peoples have the opportunity to inform Parliament on the laws and issues that affect them and their communities, their rights and their aspirations.

The appropriate machinery amendments are crucial to ensuring that the referendum is fair, transparent and informed.

Opportunities for participation in the referendum must be strengthened for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities so that their voice is included in its greatest capacity for the referendum that has such an impact on their future.
