Anti-racism is not a one-time position or statement, but an ongoing and evolving practice that each of us commit to over a lifetime. ANTAR is committed to advancing racial equity and justice, and to unsettling power structures in our society and everyday lives that are designed to oppress and discriminate. In particular, ANTAR is committed to raising awareness of the impacts of racism on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and eliminating all forms of racial discrimination toward First Nations Peoples.

I pledge to actively pursue an anti-racist practice in my personal and professional life, and commit to challenging and calling out racist language, behaviour and stereotyping when and where I see it – in myself, my family and friend networks, and in the wider community. I join ANTAR in taking a stand against racism today and everyday, and call for meaningful systemic transformation within Australian institutions and structures to ensure that First Nations peoples can live free of racial discrimination and persecution.
