The newly released Annual Report on Closing the Gap shows limited progress on the key targets for improving life outcomes for First Nations Peoples, and even some areas that are regressing.

This comes after nearly two decades of policies and frameworks to address the decades-wide gaps in life expectancy and other health indicators between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous peoples.
