Volunteer
ANTaR's work relies on the dedication and support of volunteers. There are a lots of ways in which you can help.
Where you can volunteer
Our joint National and NSW office is located in Dulwich Hill, Sydney. Some of the work we ask of our volunteers needs to be done in our office, but some tasks can be done from home so you don't need to live in Sydney to volunteer for ANTaR.
There are also ANTaR affiliates in most state capitals that require volunteers for office work and/or helping on stalls: contact them directly for local volunteering opportunities.
What we can offer volunteers
- A relaxed and friendly work environment with a supportive and dedicated team.
- A wide variety of tasks with training offered. You are encouraged to take on new and diverse tasks to broaden your experience.
- Involvement in contemporary debate and issues of national interest with people from a range of backgrounds.
- Invitations to events planned for volunteers and staff.
What we ask of volunteers
- A definite commitment. We are flexible to your situation, but some form of commitment is required to ensure that everyone's time is used well.
- To give adequate notice if you are unable to volunteer as scheduled.
- To respect the rights of other workers, whether paid or unpaid.
- To raise issues of concern with the Volunteer Coordinator or other appropriate people in a constructive way.
- Commitment to the aims of ANTaR.
